Incline Hike

Yah, for hiking the incline for the second time after knowing how stinking hard it is!! Last weekend, Sasha, Tel, and I stayed with Lisa and woke up bright and early on Saturday morning to torcher ourselves up the incline. We beat our time from last year by 5 minutes, so there was some improvement! We awarded ourselves afterwards with none other than DUNKIN DONUTS! Ok, not all of us did. But us cool ones did. (Hey…we deserved it.) Enjoy the pictures! Until next year (except Tel said he was never hiking this again).

Cabin Time!!!

We spent the weekend with Sarah, Lawrence, and Baby Rylan in Winter Park. It was so good to chill with them. We went on a fun hike around the lake. The poor stroller didn't do so well. But the chihuahuas rocked it through the drifts! Rylan is such a cute, happy baby. I didn't hear her cry once. She is definitely a hiker! And we of course had to get a game of Settlers in too.

 Pass the Chihuahuas!

Avs Hockey Game

Waaaaaay back in March, Rachael and Brad came to visit Tel and I in Denver. We had a blast for the short weekend. We painted our own pottery and went to an Avalanche Hockey Game!

Memorial Weekend in Kansas City!

For Memorial Weekend we road tripped it to Kansas City to visit Maren, Jimmy, Jared, and Andrew! I can technically say I slept it to Kansas City and Tel can say he drove to Kansas City. It was such fun, relaxing weekend. And we were able to be there for Andrew's baby blessing! Every time I think of Kansas or Maren, I think how much I miss Jared and Andrew. Jared is so stinking cute.

My favorite part the whole weekend was watching Telford bribe Jared for high fives, hugs, and kisses in exchange for potato chips. I learned that Jared LOVES him some potato chips. We played Wii Frisbee golf, settlers, and of course our families new favorite game, signs.

 I LOVE HIM!
  Momma and Andrew
We got some good sister pictures too!

I love his face in this!

A Well Overdue UPDATE!

So lots of happenings in the mile high city since my last post on Valentines Day! For starters...we live in the suburbia land of Lakewood! Which is both happy and sad. We LOVED the city and me being able to walk one block to work, but now we love being super close to the mountains and to fun walking and hiking trails. My commute isn't too bad..only 15 minutes. AND I can now brag that I have a window office in Corporate America. I moved to a smaller office but is an outside office on the 42nd floor..hello sunshine! Ya, i'm pretty much a big deal.

BUT, Tel is even a bigger deal. He got a promotion at work two weeks ago and took his boss's job. His boss took another job with another employer and Tel got promoted to Field Manager. He uses the line, "I'm a manager, babe" to get what he wants. I can't say it works all the time though. He is even busier at work and spends a ton of time on the phone at night, but he is loving it.

We also got a new roommate...my little sissie, Sasha. She is doing an internship at Denver Public Schools so she gets to live with us. Tel really loves were guacamole dip. I think every night he asks her if she is going to make it for him.

Another HUGE thing is we closed on our house in New Mexico last week! We feel so blessed that our house was only on the market for 6 days before getting an offer. So we are officially no longer New Mexicans.

Valentine's Day

So...I guess i'm a little spoiled. For Valentine's day, Tel got me some pretty flowers, gum, york peppermint patties (that i've been obsessed with lately), a fossil watch, and a necklace. Oh and we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.

Also, when I got off from work, in the lobby of our apt, there was free massages and chocholate covered strawberries. Definitely the best way to end a day at the office.
Sisters UNITE!

Last weekend (February 18th) some of the fam made a quick trip to Denver. It first started with Sasha coming to see me because she had some time off for President's day, and then Maren and my mom and dad decided to buzz on up to Denver as well. We had a great time. We celebrated my dad's 58th birthday on Saturday..so crazy! It was perfect weather to explore Denver and get some shopping done too! On Sunday I got sick with the flu for some reason, so to end a great weekend, I got sick and also had to say bye to Jared (he is so stinking cute). The cutest thing was when I was so sick and couldn't eat or drink a single thing, Jared was trying to feed handfulls of popcorn to me. But anyways, here are a few pics:

Who knew there was a cafe named after us?!

Christmas 2010

All year long, Tel and I didn’t think we would be able to make it home for Christmas because I had already used up all my vacation for the year. But because of the timing of my move to Denver, I was given the week of Christmas to move. So we spent a week in Idaho! We had our 2nd annual “Ugly Christmas Sweater” Contest on Christmas Eve. Mom made the best prime rib and we played “Signs” and musical chairs. The grandkids played boxing on the Wii, tore up the house with their marshmallow guns, and tracked Santa on the computer. It was a fun night. Jeb and Aaron’s families were both there for the party.

Christmas day was full of too many presents! Tel and I got spoiled!

The day after Christmas, Tel and I went to visit Tel’s Grandma Myers in Idaho Falls, Lisa and Sasha came to. The drive home from IF, I was introduced to the YouTube, “Boys will be girls”! So basically Sasha and I spent the rest of Christmas break quoting that video, FAT, Hun Cal Fro Yo!

On Monday Tel and I went snow mobiling with Drew and Makayla. We went to Trail Canyon to unload. Right out the gate, Tel and I somehow lost track of Drew and Makayla. After looking for them for about 20 minutes on our snow machine, we came upon them to find the newly engaged couple! Drew and pulled off onto a hillside and had popped the question. So exciting!

On Tuesday, I of course had to get in my Peggy visit to get my hair did. Afterward, I met up with Noel and Jackie to have lunch at Arctic. It was so good to see the two of them. Then I headed to Nammer’s to learn to knit! When Tel got through snow machining, he too came over to Nammer’s and attempted to learn to knit, just to see if he could do it better than me, and I’ll admit it, he did learn quicker than I did. That night Alex got into town, so we all went Lava to go to the hot pots.

On Wednesday, I woke with a fever and a cold. But we had plans to ski the Beav. Sasha, Ivan, Alex, Tel, Aaron, Jenny, Hope, Jonathan, Drew, Jeff Harris, Quinton were all at Beaver. We dumped so much powder all day long. It was a great day, minus the 45 minutes I had to go into the lodge to take a nap.

On Thursday- Sasha, Tel and I went to Grace to watch the Soda girl's basketball team.

On Friday night (New Year’s Eve) we first spent the early part of the night playing games with my parents, Nammer, Sasha, and Ivan. Ivan and Sasha taught us how to play the game Telephone Charades. It was quite the blast. Mom taught us all how to play a game from “Who’s line is it anyways”. We had such a blast. Afterwards we went over to Tel’s house and hung out with his parents and Ivan, Sasha, Colton, Colter Skinner, and Quiz came over too. We all reminisced until far past the New Year. Good times.

Then Friday came way too quickly and we were on our way back to Denver to start another year.
