Thanksgiving in KANSAS!!!!

Wednesday night after work, Tel, my dad, and I jumped in my little car and headed for Olathe, Kansas for Christmas. After driving all night (Tel drove while I slept in the backseat) we finally pulled into Maren's driveway at 4:30am! But it was worth the drive to be with family. Seth and Lisa's family drove from Kentucky, and my mom and Sasha drove from Idaho. Maren was quite the little hostess. Thanksgiving night all the girls headed out for our Black Friday shopping at 10pm starting with Toys R Us. We finally went home for a few hours of sleep at 7am. We all enjoyed some good BBQ, movies, hiding go seek, signs, and family. Before we knew it, it was Sunday, and time to head home.

Nat got Married!!!
Nat and Nick got married on November 5th in the Salt Lake Temple. The next evening they celebrated with a reception in Green River, WY. So happy I was able to be there!

My toast! ha..
Hunting 2010

This year, Tel and I both drew deer tags. So opening weekend of the hunt, Tel, my dad, Boe, and I went and stayed in Boe's cabin in Cloudcroft. We seen lots of white tail deer, elk, and does! Only buck we seen were after dark in people's yards. Lame huh?! So no deer for us. It's ok, I was a little worried about having to deal with the meat during our move to Denver.

This is me just waiting for a buck to walk out in front of me...ya that never happened!

This was about the time I got bored of not seeing anything, and turned to picture taking..

Before and After

Well as soon as we bought our house, and even before we bought it, there was a ton of work that we had to get done.  It all started with the painting from Sadie and Lisa and that made all the difference in the world. We then moved on to the kitchen and that was it own beast.  Pretty much everything in the whole kitchen needed to be replaced.  When you would walk into the old kitchen it was like stepping back in time. We ended up laying tile, building new cabinet doors, painting the old cabinets, re-texturing and painting the walls putting on a new counter top, and rewiring some of the lights. All though it isn't complete it has come a long ways since we have first moved in. Sadie is keeping me motivated and we are completing this massive project together and it has been very fun.

Did somebody say homemade ice cream????

So Tel and I tried out our ice cream maker. Well we actually decided to make homemade frozen yogurt (raspberry). Raspberries were 4 for $5 at Albertsons! So our conclusion was we prefer store bought ice cream! We didn't like the consistency of the ice cream, it was more like a smoothie. But it was fun making it. Next time we will try making ice cream, and not the frozen yogurt.
Garage Sale Bargain

Below are our latest Garage Sale Bargains. We got all 3 items for $13. We thought that was just great. I have been wanting a bread maker and a pressure cooker, but just didn't want to let loose with the cash. But I could let go of $13 on one Saturday morning
